Delicious Destinations
through the years
The San Marino Public Library Foundation is a tax exempt 501 (c) (3) charitable organization organized in 1995 to fund a state-of-the-art electronic information system to connect the library community and the local schools system. In 1999, the Foundation began the Brand New Library Campaign which raised over $10 million to help build the new Crowell Public Library, which opened in January 2008. Today, the Foundation endeavors to fulfill its mission to support and enrich the library and to provide an endowment to support the Crowell Public Library.
Past projects include installation of new audio and visual presentation equipment in the community room, funding for a Radio Frequency Identification System to facilitate collection management and to offer better customer service for library users as well as the replacement of the initial public access computers when the library building opened in 2008.
